@SomeGadgetGuy Was catching up on the podcast yesterday and heard you say you'd be able to rock an LG G8 as a daily driver without any issues. Not sure how true that might be for your device, but I can confirm that I'm not able to with mine 😔. I bust out the old girl from time to time because I absolutely love the hardware but the software experience quickly reminds me why I can't daily drive the phone anymore. I can only speak for my version, which is the T-Mobile one, but the software experience took a huge nosedive as the device got older. With 6gb of ram, my phone constantly closes out of apps as soon as I leave them and I would often have trouble launching apps that were time sensitive (like showing my train ticket to the conductor on my daily commute). What ultimately convinced me to get a new device was a trip out with my daughter to a local amusement park. The phone would constantly lock up on me when trying to take pics (and wasn't even a hot day 😭). I truly love the phone but just can't daily it 😔
@SomeGadgetGuy Really curious how this phone fares. Like you previously mentioned in the podcast, pricing is really going to dictate how well the phone is received.
@SomeGadgetGuy this makes me so happy
@SomeGadgetGuy Can't believe Samsung is following Apple with their version of the Vision Pro. I just don't see it working out for them either...sigh
@SomeGadgetGuy @Rusty they won over so many users with useful features/functionality and once they had them, they pulled the rug knowing that most people would be too lazy to move away.
@SomeGadgetGuy while in not an audio head or anything, I really enjoy these reviews. I've been watching more and more of them recently and even ended up going to Canjam NYC this past weekend (where everyone is WAY more serious about their audio than me lol). Still, had a fun time trying on gear that otherwise I would never be able to. Anyway, keep these headphone/iem reviews coming!
@SomeGadgetGuy a OnePlus in the wild is a rare sighting! I think I've only ever seen one lol
@SomeGadgetGuy this thing is absolutely awesome! Makes you realize how much we've given up 😔
@SomeGadgetGuy Lack of marketing is clearly a factor, however, everyone knows that Moto has a software support problem. It's not that they aren't offering 7 years of support, it's that it takes them FOREVER to release both security and OS updates. If they released updates with the same frequency as OnePlus, people wouldn't have much to complain about.
