It had been a while since Furina had visited, let alone overseen, any of the trials in the Opera Epiclese.
That's no news to Furina herself—obviously, with her 500 year long act coming to an end, and her complicated feelings towards any stage still lingering in her heart, she ends up avoiding all of the proceedings trials.
Her forgetfulness of it is somewhat intentional, though, when she's reminded of all that—by Neuvillette, as they're both currently in his office, relaxing after a long work day (on his part), the evening shades of pink and purples lighting the rooms in a fair glow—she's not immediately sure how she feels about it.
She jokes and puts on airs, first and foremost, "Ahahaa! Does Monsieur Neuvillette miss my humblest of presences? Does he miss my astute commentary?"
She waves her arms out and smiles confidently, continuing on as Neuvillette stays silent long enough for her to continue—always observing for a second too long, easy to notice, but Furina knows it is a thing simply innate to him.
"It, ah, indeed has been a while since I heard you go 'Order! Order in the court!'"
Neuvillette clears his throat with a cough into his fist just then, "I simply wish to inform you that you're always more than welcome to any proceedings, if the curiosity arises."
His eyes turn away in thought as he adds in the same measured tone, "I dare speak on the behalf of the people who have come to the trials so far—on more than a few occasions have they expressed the desire to hear your thoughts on the ongoing trial, as well as missing seeing you sat in your VIP seat."
It's Furina's turn to quiet, the corner of her lip quivering upward before her whole mind has processed the information.
Neuvillette takes the silence as a reason to continue on further, "Ah, well, let me think more concretely... 'Urgh... this trial is so complex, I wonder if Miss Furina would be able to wrap her head around it better than us...' and... 'What a twist! If only Lady Furina was here, this is something worth falling out of your seat!'"
"E-enough! I get it–" Furina stammers out before Neuvillette can continue reminiscing and come up with even more things the people have allegedly said.
The things said... well, obviously, they're so nice that they would have her blushing if she heard even an ounce more, thus the quick interjection to shut it all down. She *will* sleep on all this new information, but that involves time and most certainly not her immediate, truthful response and commentary.
"Ahem... we've managed to talk so much... I'm afraid the tea will get cold any second."
