@nontechietalk Honestly, a lot of the things you mentioned are actually all used in online spaced for various contexts. a big reason for this is speed, it takes too long to switch to the other page of characters on touch screens, or just to use the key on the keyboard. sometimes people will omit spaces to give the text a more frantic/fast feel. idk i really like the creative ways people have found to indicate the tone and manner of text posts on the internet lmao
@nontechietalk I want to give my input about this because im a younger person and i think the concept is fascinating! When I speak casually online, I, and a lot of other people, tend to interpret punctuation differently. For instance, there is a massive difference between texting someone “okay” and “okay.” (the second on is very curt and passive aggressive, while the first one is pretty neutral). (im gonna continue with this lol, character limit)
