I’m the *only* candidate in this race 100% funded by ordinary folks. While my opponent is funded by Big Pharma, Big Oil, & Big Banks—we instead trust We the People.❤️

If we want better politics, let’s elect people accountable to the people. Tonight, will you donate $11 & help us win.👍🏽

How do you tell somebody they're with the wrong person, and that as long as that's the case, they're both blocked from finding happiness with someone else?

From 1940s-1980, the wealthiest paid 70-94% marginal tax rates. Zero of them went broke from taxation. Zero of them left the USA. All remained exceedingly wealthy, manufacturing boomed, AND we had the strongest middle class growth in US History.

Let's do that again. #TaxTheRich

Today's PSA: (because, apparently, this is shocking to people). It's OK for corporations to make less money. It's OK for shareholders to receive less value.

No, they don't have to raise prices on their consumers. No, they don't have to cut wages or benefits. They're choosing to.

If your perpetually ascending profit model only works because you exploit your labor, then your profit model deserves no sympathy, fretting, or hand-wringing.

You can, and should, make less profit.

Left: White male Trump supporter named Larry Brock violently stormed the Capitol w/zip ties
•2 years prison

Right: Black woman named Crystal Mason filed a provisional ballot on the advice of a poll worker
•5 years prison

The system isn’t broken—it’s working as intended.

I wonder if at some point it will sink in among the American public that every time Republicans get to deregulate shit in order to make their rich owners happy, it fucking FALLS APART.

How many times do we have to go through this shitty cycle.

Two things can be true at once: SVB clients deserved to be made whole to prevent collateral damage & stop exploitation. AND—working people deserve to be made whole by ensuring companies do not exploit them w/poverty wages, exorbitant healthcare costs, & exploitative tuition loans.

The problem is that government is quick to rush support to the wealthy who are wronged, but not to working families.

Wealth is considered a moral virtue and poverty a moral failing. This is backwards & must stop.

I have NO patience for people who claim that historians should be producing traditional scholarship and not addressing the public.

Historians should be engaging with EVERY public.

Talking about democracy.

Teaching about democracy.

Highlighting the gaslighting & correcting the whitewashing.

If ever there was a time for historians to step up & engage with the public for the sake of American democracy, it's NOW.
