It is now "unsafe" to click on a Mastodon link on Twitter.

Even if that link is in your Twitter bio.

There is no good reason for this anti-competitive behaviour.

Twitter is suspending accounts of journalists who had written critically of Musk: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2022/dec/15/twitter-suspends-accounts-journalists-musk

I've also written critically of Musk, his chaos: https://www.hrw.org/the-day-in-human-rights/2022/10/05

And his undermining of rights: https://www.context.news/big-tech/opinion/the-real-problem-with-twitter

Am I next? Are you?

Twitter has also suspended the account of Mastodon.

⚠️ And look at this tweet I just tried to do but which got rejected - look at the reason: Twitter doesn't even allow you to link to Mastodon in tweets now...

Twitter suspends accounts of several journalists who had reported on Elon Musk

Many at CNN, Washington Post and the New York Times who had written critically of the new owner found their handles suspended

The worst is yet to come, 31st Dec REUL Bill sunsets 4000 EU laws in 1 fell swoop, no country has ever done this in world history. Employment rights, food safety, environmental laws, all protections abolished, transition phase mean corporate fascism for UK. Like watching a motorway pile up in slow motion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQkmdLCVMJ4

What is going to now happen with the Bill of Rights?

9th December 2022 You really would need a heart of stone not to laugh like a drain: This blog has previously compared Dominic Raab’s quest to repeal the Human Rights Act with Captain Ahab&#82…

@Frances_Coppola That's your well? Grass looks the same as ours. Grown on longer than normal and too wet to cut. Marsh frogs croaking in pond today. They've only ever done that in June before.
With +4,000 EU laws gone, libertarian hell swoops down onto the UK. Unprecedented attacks on multiple rights and protections most people take for granted, ask yourself what on earth will replace those laws. No country in world history has ever dramatically switched off so many laws in one fell swoop. Disaster capitalists are known to 'Go in hard and fast' learned tactics designed to disorientate and fatigue the public, it works especially well during crisis, aka shock therapy.
Workers rights, bathing water directive, safety of gas appliances, food safety, passage of rights, compensation, air safety, it is not red tape as framed by Mogg and his 'Sovereign cohorts' they're slashing and burning regs that will lead to unfettered corporate hegemony. Brexit has unleashed disaster capitalism backed by big oil/tobacco/pharma who pour millions into the right wing think tanks to shape radical right policies (even though they enjoy charity status and are tax payer funded).
'Profound effects on UK legal system if (when) it becomes law'. Trump repealed 85 laws over 2 years. Why are they in such a rush? Deregulation will inflict havoc on workers protections with 'sunsetting' clauses. Deregulation is the key word of understanding Brexit. Tories want a trade war with EU with severe consequences on so many levels of infrastructure, safety/CE mark, environment, workers rights, devolved administrations will experience political power grabs from Westminster, insane.
Please watch this video on what deregulation of over 4,000 EU laws by Dec 2023, ministers can step in and object, if they don't a major fire sale of citizens rights will happen, it is unprecedented and extremely serious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQkmdLCVMJ4@CSBarnard24
