A quick note of something that may be important for people to know: I already noted that DMs here are a bit sketchy security wise, but (THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT): if you mention someone else's account in a DM, Mastodon, yoinks them into the conversation.
So, you know, if you think you're talking about someone behind their back, you might be doing it to their face.
It is going to get even more difficult to get Covid PCR tests. For the moment Australian Clinical Labs WA still bulkbills if you have symptoms and a medicare card
Your Medinet COVID-19 Request Form
How does it work?
After scanning the QR code, you will be directed to the Medinet web portal, where you will be prompted to answer a series questions to determine your eligibility for a Medicare-subsidised test. If you are eligible, you will be emailed a COVID-19 request form by an Medinet doctor which can be scanned at any Clinical Labs collection centre.
What if I am not eligible?
If you are not eligible, please talk to our Clinical Labs collector, who can discuss next steps with you.
How do l get my result?
Your result will be sent to you via SMS using your nominated mobile number. You may also get contacted by Medinet regarding your result.
What is the eligibility criteria? All eligible persons must have a valid Medicare card and display COVID-19 symptoms.
Is there an out-of-pocket fee?
If you meet the Medinet eligibility criteria there is no out-of-pocket fee.

Set up here in case the bird app is no longer viable. For those that followed me over there, glad to see you here! For those who are new to following me-I'm nonbinary transmasc(he/him and they/them). I'm 42, a cat Dad, poet, disabled(fibromyalgia, cPTSD), and eclectic Wiccan probably sums me up pretty well at this point in regards to that side of things, but like much of my life, I tend to expand and evolve as I learn more about myself, so I consider that a "working title"😉Also self DX Autistic as of a year ago, which has been a revelation and is a journey all its own😂
I am pro science, and definitely pro mask, so if you're not, this isn't the space for you😁
I'm also Welsh, but have lived in Australia for many years. I've recently started trying to learn Welsh again via duolingo, as, while I was fluent before I emigrated as a child to Australia, I found I'd lost much of it over the years.
So...here's to the journey!
"Fully vaccinated" - received a booster in the last 120 days
This continues to decline, everywhere. Perhaps a slight deviation upwards in the trends for Victoria and WA, in the last week or so?
The range now is from Tasmania (12.5%) down to WA (10.6%).
If you are an Australian citizen and believe that we need to reinstate isolation period for covid19 please sign this petition from the House of Representatives and on post.
