#Breaking: Kyrsten Sinema Switches Parties
Following the better-than-expected performance by Democrats this election cycle, Sinema seeks to retain her relevance by walking away and declaring herself an Independent.
Her expectation is that this should cause both Dems and Rs to think twice about challenging her personal power: she no longer faces a primary challenge by another Democrat, and Republicans are unlikely to spend big trying to defeat a politician who shares so many of their values.

Secretary of State Katie Hobbs will CERTIFY Arizona's 2022 General Election results at 10am local time. Governor Doug Ducey and Attorney General Mark Brnovich will be present and act as Witnesses, per Arizona statute. The event will be livestreamed.

Cochise County Board of Supervisors has voted to CERTIFY its 2022 Election Results. Republican Peggy Judd voted FOR certification, along with Democrat Ann English. Tom Crosby, the other Republican Supervisor for Cochise Co., did not attend yesterday's court-ordered Board meeting, making the final vote to certify 2-0.

#BREAKING: Judge McGinley has ORDERED Cochise County Board of Supervisors to canvass & certify their election count by 5pm TODAY!
They were supposed to canvass last Monday. The Cochise Co. Attorney told them their failure to do so was illegal and refused to defend them in court. BoS had to shop around for legal representation, when they finally found a lawyer, he failed to show up when this afternoon's hearing started.
This is a clear win for the Rule of Law in #Arizona.

Cochise County Board of Supervisors met this afternoon to hire Bryan Blehm to represent them in Court for refusing to certify their election canvass by yesterday's deadline. Blehm was attorney for the Cyber Ninjas who conducted #Arizona's ridiculous #Fraudit after the 2020 election -- and famously FAILED to find any fraud. Blehm has not confirmed that he will take the job. First court hearing is scheduled for this Thursday.

Court DISMISSES #Arizona Attorney-General wannabe Abraham Hamadeh's (R) ridiculous lawsuit to throw out his election loss and up & install him as attorney-general. Judge called Disingenuous Abe's case "premature." His election will be subject to an automatic recount once the State has certified all votes, because the margin of votes between the candidates is less than half a percentage point.
