Side note: Sandy is WAY more helpful in the Netflix series than in the actual Journey to the West...
@Druidbowtie Oh yeah! I was confusing it, because that segment was just about the Monkey King, which was why I watched it to begin with (there's references to the Monkey King in guildwars, so it piqued my interest)
I don't think she'd made the other videos at the time.
@maloki I highly recommend checking out the rest of the videos if you haven't. As of now there's five of them, but I know she's not done. It's a great way to familiarize yourself with the story! (Besides reading it, which I'm guessing is no light feat)
It becomes pretty clear that Netflix is producing a story that's more...adjacent...to the original.
Also, I can't believe I hadn't noticed references to the Monkey King in GW! I'll have to pay closer attention next time I'm playing.
