Started a forum - it won't let me post to it

I registered a new account on my Friendica node, and selected the account type as "public forum".

I then logged in with my main account, sent the forum account a friend request (which it accepted).

Then I tried to post on the forum with my main account, but there was no button for posting with? (the button with the pen in it)

I had already made sure the forum account's setting for friends posting on your wall was switched on, and also that we were friends, so I don't understand why it won't let me post to the forum.

Have I done something wrong, or is there some kind of delay with the posting being activated?

That's odd... I recently setup a forum on my node and I didn't have the same issue. Perhaps you want to copy this message to !Friendica Support ?

@Adam Clark the message came in via !Friendica Support, if you use ! instead of @ I think it is shown differently, see the header of the post with the little #Friendica symbol an the "via Friendica Support" behind @Kristiina Kello.

Yes, I was responding on mobile in a near sleep state last night. The forum icon on her post was very subtle (especially on the small screen), I was left wondering afterward how I had even seen the post.

According to the information provided in the Help section, posting with ! seems to be a much more simplified method of posting to a forum, as using @ you have to pay attention to much more as far as the privacy settings goes. At least, that's what I get from the Help on the topic.
