seeing #pleroma be super nice and I'm like

whyy did i mastodon

(don't get me wrong mastodon's awesome but pleroma seems so much easier to run!)

@kevin Holy shit. Pleroma looks awesome.
@gme Right?? Not sure how I never heard about it until *after* starting up the mastodon instance...
@gme The only downside is that it seems to not really have docker support. Maybe I'll open an issue. :B
@kevin I'm not using Docker today so that's not an issue for me :-) . I never can get docker to work right.

@gme that's good :B

I admit Docker is really bad sometimes (e.g. yesterday: why did the daemon just totally stop responding??) but it's the only way I've found to sanely run the dozens of random self-hosted services I enjoy using xd

@kevin @gme I put pleroma in docker. Every application has docker support you just need to work it out ypurself.

@kurisu @kevin Or you don't use docker like I do and all is right in my World. :-)

@kurisu @gme oh sweet! I saw a few unofficial dockerfiles but I always find those sketchy :B

I'll have to take a closer look~

@kevin @gme boi I find most "official" dockerfiles to be unsatisfactory so I often write my own.

@kurisu @gme ah usually I prefer adopting the "if it runs, it's good" strategy

what could go wrong~
