@MonstersConquerTheWorld did you back the kickstarter?
I was so tempted, but I don't back miniature games after relic knights. It looks sick and reminds me of one of my favorite games from #privateerPress called #Monsterpocalypse not to mention #delTorro directing it aye. many reasons to consider.
I'll at least get a review of the mechanics and such.
@Chambique I watched a preview video about the game mechanics and I got turned off immediately. It seems super cumbersome and convoluted, even compared to Monsterpocalypse which had a high learning curve on its own (IMO).
Did you see Monsterpocalypse is coming back this fall? I'm pretty geeked! https://www.monsterpocalypse.com/
@MonstersConquerTheWorld I loved #monsterpocalypse the learning curbe and resource mechanics, oh my.
It's coming back this fall?? dude thank you for telling me! I was about to sell all my stuff. I have a ton of the season 1 and 2 things I've been hanging onto.
I'll dive full force into that !
@Chambique Good news/bad news time!
The good news: they're tweaking the rules and rolling out bigger, more detailed figures.
The bad news: the old figures are absolute. I'm in the same boat, I have like two boxes of mis-matched monsters and units that I have no idea what to do with now.
Good or bad news depending on what you want out of the game: the new figures come unassembled and unpainted. It sounds cool... but I doubt I'd ever get around to actually painting 'em. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@MonstersConquerTheWorld
Ohh, so the old figures are out and they're going proper #miniaturegame this round?
That's exciting but meh about all my old stuff being well.. 'old stuff' lol.
I'll be watching to see how they roll it out.
Bummer to hear pacific rim was fiddley in mechanics.
