as an establishment clause-loving USian, I was thinking about #religion and public life this Easter Monday

I'm always kinda scandalized by countries that have an official religion, where the liturgical year affects public accommodations, etc.

I found this Pew report on countries that have official or preferred religions, but it seems a little modest in its conclusions

anyone have good readings on religion and public life, esp in liberal democracies?
