Meanwhile in Brazil:

A small but loud #DeleteNetflix campaign has burst forth on Twitter since "The Mechanism," a show that is a work of fiction based on the real-life, multi-year corruption probe dubbed Carwash, was added to the streaming service Friday.

#DeleteNetflix Campaign Erupts in Brazil

While the world rebels against Facebook, Netflix Inc. is stirring up controversy in Brazil.

I've started watching The Mechanism and it is very easy to identify the many public figures who have been identified in the corruption probe since Operation Carwash started in 2014.
It is really funny watching the fallout in the Brazilian media. Ex-president Dilma called the show "lies" and "false news", director Padilla responded by saying that there is a notice at the beginning of each episode saying that it is a work of fiction, and that "if Dilma knew how to read we wouldn't have this problem."

One of Dilma's major complaints is that in the series Higino (ex-president Lula) is quoted as saying that it was necessary to "stop the bleeding" ie shut down the Operation Carwash investigation, when it was actually the Senator Romero Juca from the opposition PMDB (now MDB) party that said this.

Not that it matters when they are all as guilty as each other in this massive corruption scandal...
