@nonbinary it's not even all white people, it's white americans and the fact the overwhelming majority upholds, conciously or unconciously, racial pwer structures

I'm transgender. I've lost my career over it. I've endured life without civil rights people of color currently have.
Stop and think about who you're talking to. I'm not the problem, if anything.. I'm feeling the pain of inequality as well.

I literally lost my career over being Transgender. I had ZERO CIVIL RIGHTS and this happened in my lifetime.
Then consider someone angry at me for being white, claiming they often speak poorly of white people here and then accusing me of misrepresenting him while referring to toots i've never read.. since i literally just got here lol.
The entire thing read like someone with issues, It certainly wasn't mine and i blocked him. I'm not making time for it.

Personally, I feel uncomfortable talking about race on Masto but I think it’s important to confront these issues. There are fewer Black mastonauts than white. (I’m Chicanx fwiw). I don’t think that he’s trying to play Oppression Olympics — just trying to get things off his mind.
