It shouldn't take something like Finsbury Park or the death of 17 year old Nabra for you to listen to us. It shouldn't take the Portland attacks or the brutal beating of Rahma Warsame or the Mosque shooting in Quebec for you to realize Islamophobia is an escalating problem.
Does our blood need to be spilt before you hear what we've been saying for years. Do we have to die before you hear us? Islamophobia is real, it's killing us. We need you to fucking listen

Also just going to add that much of the violence targets Hijab wearing Muslim women; especially black Muslimahs.
While we non-black Muslims have a right to react, let's also work on the antiblackness in our own community and stop erasing the identity of the black Muslims being attached by Islamophobes AND in-group antiblackness. Our solidarity is bullshit if we're only claiming them as sisters when we can make it about all of us but being antiblack otherwise.
