I think I assumed Hans hetero because he tried to marry Anna, but of course all of that was a ruse anyway, so it doesn't actually tell me anything.
My point with "why ace?" is that his sexuality is more or less undefinable, since he doesn't express desire, nor is he rejecting any sexual attention (as I remember).
I might as well argue that he's bi, because I'm pretty sure his namesake H.C.Andersen was bi.
