I'm doing the Magic Number challenge again this year, and its a drive to get piles of shame down to zero.
@martinralya two years ago yes. I did and completed #51in15 and #10x10. Last year I signed up to do even more, but with all the family health problems did not accomplish any. This year I'm doing 10x10 again but didn't officially sign up for anything. I'm also doing #RPGaMonth but that's not through BGG.
What's the magic number one?
@martinralya Wow sorry somehow missed that last sentence. I am doing something like that I have a goal to get my 6 piles of shame down to two. My magic number is higher than 60 this year due to Geektropolis not working out and the owner having to liquidate his entire collection.
@MoeT Reducing the number of discrete piles of shame seems like a noble goal!
@martinralya My goal last year was set on New Years day and was to have none of the games in my pile of shame on New Years Day 2018. I was doing a good job until everything went to crap. I would do the same this year, but there are just too many games. I actually had a chair of shame but it filled up. So my actual goal for this year is to get all my unplayed games to fit on that one chair again.
@martinralya I managed to get through I think 7 of them Saturday and one more tonight. So making good progress but it's early.
@MoeT Wish we lived closer -- we could clear some unplayed games in short order!

One of the hardest parts for me is that my wife hates cult of the new. She wants to find a game she likes and play the heck out of it. Really master it. Learn it in and out. No learning, no teaching new people, just sit down with someone else who knows the game as well and have a real contest.
Which I totally get, but given the choice I would choose a new game, especially with such a high magic number.
