For all that were interested - I got MX Linux up and running on hardware tonight! Install was seamless. 😀 🐧

@vascocosta -- The only thing I would change so far: for my preference, it comes with waaay too many programs out of the box. I'll be paring down for sure.

@MereLinuxMortal @vascocosta Looks nice! Shame about all the extra stuff it ships with though, the art of a minimal install seems to be vanishing by the day

I've been running it myself on VirtualBox and loving it so far, with the exception of slight software bloat out of the box and the damn vertical panel by default. 😀

But once past that, it could definitely make its way into one of my laptops soon.

The conky tools are sweet and being a Debian stable based distro with some critical packages upgraded seems like the right compromise to me.

It also comes with a decent amount of nice themes out of the box.

@vascocosta No problem :-). Yeah, I tried to like the vertical panel and just couldn’t! It was really simple to get everything set up to my preferences though.
