So all exercising for today, and possibly the rest of the week, have been canceled due to my sciatic nerve pain keeping me in bed. My SO said it might be due to a herniated disc pressing against the nerve, so I'll be getting my back checked out tomorrow.

Hoping I can get referred to a chiropractor to deal with this. It's horrible to go through, especially when I'm trying to get my weight under control.

@toxicmiracle @toxicmiracle Hope you don't mind the intrusion. Going through the same thing right now. My second time getting a slipped disc. last case was 4 years ago (l5-s1 disc), spent 2017 getting pretty fit, probably overdid it on weightlifting and now I'm flat on my back again. I'd recommend you go see a doctor who specializes in the back, since it's a really sensitive and important area. lots of nerves there. good luck.
@12amstatic Thank you! A friend found a back specialist nearby a day later. After getting an X-ray, I found out that I thankfully don't have any issues with bulging discs. I do have a slight curve in my spine which caused my sciatic nerve to get pinched. The doctor gave me some pain medication and medicated patches to help, and I've been doing stretches to help with straightening my spine, which should in turn help make pinching happen a lot less.
@toxicmiracle That's good news! Glad to hear it turned out well. I'm a bit better now, though still in recovery. Might be a good 2 weeks before I can walk without too much stiffness or pain (i feel like a newly molted thing lol).
