1. The Japanese materials have cutesy names like "essence of fluff-fluff" and "essence of clink-clink"
2. The personality differences are a lot clearer when you can see which villagers use kanji and which speak mostly using hiragana
3. The "smug" villagers openly flirt with you
4. Way too many villagers are concerned about weight gain
