@Tryphon I use jupyter notebook all the time! of course it's nice that they let you export your data etc. the problem is the underlying proprietary elements of the service (the file store, i.e., google drive, and the machines that the code is running on, i.e. [I assume] google-owned cloud servers). which means if I make tutorials (or whatever) around the service I'm also tied to those proprietary elements, which might vanish forever tomorrow
@aparrish @Tryphon In my opinion keeping something pure-and-corporate-independent (if possible) is a good choice, even more if we talk about science. After all mathematics itself is that way
