downsides of rural living:

this is such a privileged thing to complain about but my internet connection is so terrible it's like being on a 28k modem and i'm not exaggerating.

playing MMO's are impossible nowadays, loading an image takes somewhere between 1-5 minutes, nevermind uploading something, I'm constantly disconnected and discord calls are nigh impossible especially at night.

i spent my youth in internet purgatory i do not have the patience for this

my ISP can't do shit about this either since it has nothing to do with them but the actual physical lines themselves, i'm on ADSL run through 100+ year old disintegrated copper lines and i am sitting between stations so the people in the villages here (where the stations are) are hogging all the bandwidth and it's especially telling on weekends/nights and when people have days off.

i've had this issue since summer and it's only getting worse.

@ginnungagap my dad is in West Virginia, they only have DSL or satellite, installed the DSL AFTER I HAD ALREADY MOVED AWAY and tried to charge me for it.
