If I can’t work, I have to call in at least three hours before my shift starts.

Which means on bad pain days, I have to set my alarm for 5 AM and then try to magically divine how bad it’s gonna get and guess if I’ll be able to make it through the day.

I guessed wrong yesterday and started crying from the pain about three hours in. Had to go home. Decided to call in today. It sucks to lose the hours, but I have to be kinder to my body.

on the bright side, I’m awake now, so maybe I’ll have some morning tea.
