Highly successful freelance artist friend making 50k/year: "Yeah, I live with my parents."

Me, an office manager: "Oh wow, me too... they actually like me living there."

My other friend: "'Oh thank god, me too."

My other other friend, also a manager: "The only reason I live with roommates instead of my parents is because they disowned me for being gay"

I guess this is a bigger norm than I realized.
