@trinsec I thought : It's probably clever to join a much larger instance, cause the admin will be more eager to keep it online ...

@kabuki I moved from .social to .host a few weeks after signing up because of more space for posts and profile in .host, and being able to see @ replies in the timelines.
It went well over there for a long time, it's just weird that they're suddenly down this long. :(
.social is a bit too crowded and is sometimes very slow, plus its admin encouraged people to sign up on other instances too to alleviate this problem. I hope .host will be up soon again, my main account is there.
