You know when they take a show a dub it in english, but they put 'jokes' in too?
They shouldn't do that. Ever.

@sivern Here in the Netherlands almost everything foreign is subtitled (except programs for really young kids). Non-translatable jokes are usually replaced by Dutch alternatives. But since we still hear the original joke we get two jokes for the price of one ...

@kabuki Ah, I didn't think about that. Isn't that more of a cultural translation, though? The show 'Shin Chan' had a good translation, and update of the material.

I was mainly talking about the Obstacle Course type of shows, they don't have subtitles for reason.

@sivern I don't have a clue what this 'Shin Chan' show is. And with Obstacle Course type of shows you means something like 'American Ninja Warrior' and such ... ?
