@apunkgrl it's been like that since forever. Howard Zinn clearly states that the Kennedy administration defused the black protest movement by "officially supporting" it and allowing MLK to hold his historic speech in Washington...

@apunkgrl yes! it feels like an obligation for lgbt people, even if it means unsafely outing yourself by going
