I really wanna learn how to crochet, but I tried knitting once and no matter what I tried to make it always ended up as a triangle 🔺 (is knitted bunting a thing? I'd be good at that)
@xee crochet is way easier in my opinion! Give it a go!
@melophilus It looks so complicated! But I'll take your word for it and grab a kit! Some needle things? wool? I think I'll have to do some research first haha

@xee @melophilus A hook an some yarn should be enough! And you could find having a thick needle practical for finishing off the yarn too.

3.0 - 4.0mm hooks are a good standard size for the most common yarns like the DK. As for what to do, amigurumis are a lot of fun to crochet, there are a lot of simple free patterns out there!

@xee @melophilus Wool, cotton, and acrylic are the most common choices for yarn, but there are a lot of other options out there too! Acrylic is usually the cheapest, but if the project is clothing I’d recommend using something other than acrylic. There’s a world of difference between acrylic and the less synthetic materials. I really like merino wool myself but it’s really expensive.
@Oopelekoi ooooh thank you for the advice~!!!
