Super pumped about the election results here! but also:

- I didn’t vote because the *official state voting website* told me I wasn’t in-district...but my neighbor did vote, so???
- Voter turn-out in this election was a whopping 5.2%, so I’m clearly not the only one.

Note to self, from here on out, voting in every election they’ll let me in the door for regardless of what the website says >:|

@melgillman Honestly I ran into the same thing in Illinois re: website, only to show up at the polls with an ID and an unopened utility bill and be allowed to vote. :|||

I hate how intentionally obfuscatory voting regulations are in this country.

@melgillman Yeah, I had the same problem. I knew there was a special election but thought it was for different district. I feel bad for not voting now. :( but still, congrats to Allison!
@Alterici @melgillman you'll find conservative areas "accidently" misfile people all the time. Looking for early voting generally helps cuz you can go and if for some reason they so no you didn't waste time in a line.

@melgillman yo! my friend submitted her voting docs to the DMV like 2 months ago, & couldn't vote bc they STILL failed to submit it to city hall. >:(

bureaucratic incompetence is just voter suppression & it makes me mad as all hell!
