Already there are two instances to keep track of. I could get used to Mastodon, but herding comics folk into one easily tracked place seems like an uphill struggle.
@tenbandits I’m exhausted already. This isn’t easier than twitter-it’s more work for less reward.
@pauljholden I’m inclined to agree for the moment. I’m hoping either it leverages Twitter into sorting their shit or more people hop over, honestly.
@tenbandits honestly I’m beginning to think the problem isn’t twitter so much as people. Once too many people saunter in here it’ll be twitter mk II. That said I’m feeling particularly misanthropic today so that may be colouring my opinion.
@pauljholden I like the interface/format of twitter, I’m just desperate for them to get rid of harassers and Nazis. If they do that I’ll happily live out my digital days there.
@pauljholden @tenbandits
Having to remake your account for new instances is really clunky, and it's hard to move backwards in terms of how many people I'm reaching.
@HEATcomic @tenbandits yeah I’ve now three accounts over three instances and social is the only one I have followers on. It’s a mess ALREADY.

@pauljholden @tenbandits
There's a fun novelty to any new platform, like a new toy, but the lack of a central hub that people follow you at is hard to get used to.

I think the ideal element of it is that there are so few people using it that it's really easy to keep it from being a distraction, and it's a little easier to actually make a connection and interact with people.
