@deejoe I recently got a new guitar-to-amp cable because previous one was broken, so I should now be able to play properly again. But I haven't had time to do that yet.

At least that dependency is out of the way.
Saw some mention of a local effort to challenge the received wisdom that there's no point in adults learning to play an instrument. Made me wonder if giving the guitar a try myself would be sufficiently unfrustrating.
