Question about computers from someone who doesn't know their computers: does anyone have advice on replacing the HD with SSD in a desktop? Getting an HP Omen soon.

adding a m.2 ssd drive

I want to add a M.2 ssd drive to my 870-244 omen i bought from best buy, but it only says that it is a M.2 socket 3, key M, it does not say the size of m.2 it will hold. i have found a 2280 & a 2260. nor does anything say which type it is, does it need a sata version or other type of M.2   any info ...

@charlatto i replaced my old macbook HD with an SSD but it wasn't built to handle an SSD so might be safer bet to get an SSD-ready desktop instead... also there's youtube vids abt how to build ur own gaming PC

@pollyguo idgi but everyone in the reviews suggest replacing it with ssd inside the desktop? so it could probably handle it? but they all added "you dont need to! but im a real gamer so im going to" LOL
