Eugen RochkoPlease direct your friends to joinmastodon.org or another instance of your choice like octodon.social, toot.cat or toot.cafe, etc. mastodon.social is "default" choice for a lot of people and it's getting kinda hammered right now.
Reinder Dijkhuis@Gargron Mastodon.art is not sending me account confirmations right now though, so beware that that one may be having issues.

We've been tested and solid for a long time, but you need an invite link to sign up, to protect from bot sign ups. If you're having trouble, though, @Curator is active and helpful. I can also send an invite link if needed.
