Part of the reason I'm on here (uhh, when I'm not lurking) is cause I can blather more freely about writing and shit, because unlike twitter my followers are not 50% professional colleagues (which is how it is on birbsite).

I dunno if science mastodon is a thing but the instance model seems like it would be great at this kind of thing.
