@meganpaasch as long as your instance isn't a hermetically sealed filter bubble sooner or later you're going to meet members of the outgroup (for all outgroups). That's what it means to live in a global village. The federation is no different - the difference is you choose who runs your platform, and you have a lot more choice here than twitter.
