Sovrim Terraquian@definitelyadog I didn't really get the game myself until I reached the end of the pacifist run, and then had to do the cleanup necessary for the true ending. Then it kinda hit in a way that I don't think many other games have before or since.
@salameleon same! honestly after completing true pacifist i refused to open the game anymore, not out of loss of interest. but out of fear of the characters (who honestly felt like my friends) losing their awesome new virtual lives
@definitelyadog I teared up a bit when they finished the game during AGDQ, along with the crowd chanting HUG THE GOAT. It still amazes me that both Undertale and #HugTheGoat were trending on Twitter for a couple hours while that was going on, a sort of small testament to how many people the game touched.
