if it's inaccessible to the poor, disabled, or uneducated, it is neither radical nor revolutionary
i'm saying this based off an image i saw online somewhere a while back just in case it sounds familiar lol
@edotjpg Malcolm X?
@addylerer did he say something similar? i don't recall ever seeing a quote like this attributed to him but i wouldn't be surprised, he was one of the greatest and most radical minds america has ever seen
@edotjpg I have seen it attributed to him before. Not 💯% on it yet I have seen with his face and name on a couple of socialist sites.
@addylerer ah, okay cool cuz like i said i hadn't heard of that until now but if the quote was his then i learned something new today. i knew i had heard something similar somewhere before but i wasn't able to put my finger on any part of it, like when you feel like you know a song but you can't recall any of the words nor the artist's name lol. thank you 😊
@edotjpg radical just means extreme.
@CitySquirrel you bet, i'm all for radical movements over incremental changes when those changes are long overdue
@edotjpg I mean, things can go backwards in a radical manner. The current GOP is pretty radical. So something could be inaccessible to the poor, uneducated, or disabled, and still be radical.
@CitySquirrel right, you have a good point, but the connotation of the quote is about radical left movements that aim to be inclusive and radically change things for in the name of justice and equality. it's all contextual so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we good tho
@edotjpg Fair enough, I saw your toot only in isolation
@CitySquirrel as is how the fediverse works. no hard feelings of course, we only support and encourage fellow nazi fighters in this household
