@pep0kin Honestly? It depends primarily on the level of confidence built among the people and how far and deep the network and relationships underlying a revolution go. The violence depends entirely on the degree of violence brought to bear by the ruling class, but that mostly involves utilising people that AREN'T a part of the ruling class to carry OUT that violence; while the police, the army, all that is part of the oppressive state apparatus, they're comprised of people who don't necessarily
@pep0kin have the same stake in defending the existing structures, and it may be possible to shift their consciousness, too. That’s not always feasible — very often, it isn’t, but it’s happened many times before. It depends on the society in question, and it depends on the dynamics at work.
