The violence depends entirely on the degree of violence brought to bear by the ruling class, but that mostly involves utilising people that AREN'T a part of the ruling class to carry OUT that violence; while the police, the army, all that is part of the oppressive state apparatus, they're comprised of people who don't necessarily
@pep0kin have the same stake in defending the existing structures, and it may be possible to shift their consciousness, too. That’s not always feasible — very often, it isn’t, but it’s happened many times before. It depends on the society in question, and it depends on the dynamics at work. It— I’m going to stop saying ‘it depends’ now because that’s really not particularly helpful.
