@broken The "obvious trend" involves 2 people which imo is not nearly enough to draw any conclusions especially given neither of them reached out to me or left any formal statements and we're just guessing here at what happened.
@Gargron @broken there's not that many of us here. two people gone and that's nearly half the poc i know here, and they both cited the same reason. hell, might be more, we don't all speak up when we leave. "enabling white supremacy" is requesting formal reports (in what form, even?) from people hurt by it and reminding poc of the power we have to start our own server after we do speak up about being marginalized. would it hurt to try to make it less obvious you'd rather not have us here?
@spinach What does Twitter do and Mastodon doesn't that makes you feel welcome as a PoC there, but not here?
@Gargron Friends who can show support. @spinach
@Gargron It's an important part of a community. People you can count on despite being on a centralized proprietary platform. @spinach
@Gargron Twitter with its massive userbase has all the communities. GNUSocial and Mastodon needs to curate theirs for now. @spinach
@Gargron It's reaaaaaaally hard to do. But « doing nothing » as in « suggesting offended people go elsewhere » means ending up like a bad subreddit / 8chan etc. @spinach
