@bvtsang In MA we have this big cultural thing around Science and Evidence-Based Action; at Senator Markey's first town hall after Trump got elected he gave a speech and said "This is Massachusetts! And how do we make our decision here?" and the entire crowd simultaneously and unanimously shouted back "SCIENCE!"

So I made a tweet basically trying to direct that attitude towards supporting the Safe Communities Act. and she was like "Except not when we voted down Question 2!!"

@bvtsang to be clear, I said "In MA we hold with pride that we use science and evidence to make our decisions. There's nothing scientific about racism. Support #S1305!!" and she quote-retweeted me to say "Apparently we don't care about studies when it comes to Charter Schools!! Why did we vote #NoOn2 again??" and I said like "Actually the studies were kinda mixed, personally I voted against 2 because it felt safer" and that's... when it got bad...
