Night Head made each of its bookshelves individually examinable, and I honestly love this detail. https://mastodon.social/media/YZMZx7j3Q09yIni-Sh4 https://mastodon.social/media/emrwuwJ4blycaUptQEQ
This guy is the only person I’ve met so far. I don’t know who he is and he only has one sprite. https://mastodon.social/media/ADOgjjsvpNaUXrD7KjU
I got given lunch! You can eat any of the items individually. I genuinely love this detail. https://mastodon.social/media/VhzNo0QgachQnsNW5-0 https://mastodon.social/media/KsQyjsSjTev55UShcfI
A big noise happened and everyone ran out of the room in panic to check on it. But, given this is an FMV game and they left the player full controls, there’s no actual urgency to your own actions. The chill way you’re forced to check up is oddly in tune with the feel of the game, even if it’s ostensibly leading up to some form of horror.
When the game *does* move you without your input, it still follows the restrictive movement patterns you’re limited too, too. If you accept the limitations of the genre and the era, it does make you feel like that form of mobility’s inherent to this world.
Okay I was *not* expecting the game to suddenly (intentionally) glitch itself out and this was far more effective than I’d have thought. https://mastodon.social/media/ivaS1CkxO74gbdmwbFk https://mastodon.social/media/HG2itpY3xehjdNHRXuw https://mastodon.social/media/kwwFy0CEnQrI1-eIk-Y
