We need better language filters on Mastodon; I keep getting flooded by toots in languages I don't read, making it hard to find the few Spanish/English/Italian/German/French toots that I'd understand (as opposed to all of the arabic-alphabet using ones which I don't read at all.)

@Bearmund it's Persian language (or Farsi) not arabic.

@Farsi If you read my toot properly, you'd see that I said that use the Arabic *alphabet*, not *language*... (I believe that Persian also uses a variant of the Arabic alphabet(?), the way that English and Spanish use a variant of the Latin alphabet. (I.e., Arabic and Latin cultures influenced the alphabets/abjads of other languages :-)
