@phessler Yes, definitely. I also routinely have to look into the code to know which %thing specifiers expand in which options, because doing it consistently is clearly not on the table... (And having to land patches in systemd to make myself able to write a templatable unit, then wait for the changes to reach ${distro} is... frankly ludicruous).

Well, at least my personal boxes run FreeBSD and I don't have to deal with that crap there.
