I need a new phone. Ordinarily I'd turn to Google, but they've priced the Pixel the same as the iPhone despite it being nowhere near as good.

I'm half seriously considering an iPhone but the lightning connector is annoying and the software/ecosystem as a web dev (mandatory Safari) would probably drive me mad.

I'll admit I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but really, this generation of phones sucks 📵

I have the Pixel, best phone I've ever used. This includes iPhone 6.

@bdsa maybe too harsh words. In terms of software the pixel is 👌 whereas the iPhone has the better hardware. For me, the lack of waterproofing is a big deal cause I'm out/sweaty a lot 😅

@ashkyd Totally understand. I wish the Pixel was waterproof too. I've seen anecdotal tests on YouTube where it did really well, but I wouldn't rely on it.

@bdsa Interesting, that's what Apple used to do until recently: it was waterproof everywhere but the spec sheet.
