Services I feel pretty locked into, ie switching would have a very high time/convenience cost with no clear replacement:
- Google (gmail + hangouts + maps)
- Twitter
- Dropbox
- Paypal
Services I feel pretty okay about walking away from in 2017:
- Instagram
- Steam
- Amazon
Services I'm actively happy using:
- Signal
- Bandcamp
- Simple (bank)
- itch.io

@jplebreton Interesting list. Do you need enough "cloud" storage that you can't simply use Google Drive and drop Dropbox? And I dumped Twitter. I'm still depending on Amazon indirectly, in the sense that while I do not use it myself I benefit from my GF's maintaining a Prime account. Same with Steam (she's got a _massive_ library I can use if I want to.)

@Chelydros Drive still doesn't have a Linux desktop application like Dropbox does. Consolidation is of marginal value; ie moving from the latter to the former isn't really helping me if it's just increasing my dependence on Google.
