jodywhitesides ✅Something that I've noticed here in the world of the Mastodon and toots. Despite having a much longer text box, people seem to be so ingrained with the limitations of 140 characters that they don't really go over it. Did twitter do its homework so well that they got it right the first time? Or do people not have that much to say when relieved of constraints?

I would not be so quick on that, it will take time for most users to adjust to the wider expression that they have here. I have personally been waiting for something like this for a long time, so adjusted rather quickly. Others will not be as fast.
