Nice to hear from someone so soon here. to answer your question, I use Linux mint 18.1 Serena as my base, with Linux Kernel 4.10.0-14 with a lot of tweaks and custom configuration... I have way to much time on my hands..lol. No unfortunately... I'm not in Europe, wish I was. I'm in the US were the inmates of an insane asylum are running the place. Vassilis Palassopoulos@Amberley @UserCoffee #ubuntu is on a major transition these days. They're changing the DE from #Unity to #GNOME. If you wanna go Ubuntu *proper* for 17.04 I'd say go for the Ubuntu-GNOME edition as future ubuntu will look more like it. Probably till 17.10 and 18.04 (the LTS) they'll change some things but the switch to GNOME is the biggest change in last 7 years.
