I know lots of people do this, but my family & I just decided to have one night a week where we play games. Son is now 9 so he can play a lot more things.
Professorsv@clhendricksbc @ShorterPearson @lauraritchie We are playing "Rock me, Archimedes" right now-- enjoyed by my 7 year old and 13 year old sons, and parents alike. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/136554/rock-me-archimedes. It is quick game. Other old standbys include Qwirkle, Sequence, Rummikub, poker. We have tried "Settlers of Catan" and some of that type but it was hard for the younger ones to maintain attention.
@Professorsv Sequence was a standby of the kids' younger days. My wife and I are still known to play that from time to time, too. @lauraritchie @clhendricksbc
