I found myself rolling onto mastodon to pick up the fragments of what I consider to be an ugly instance of harassment directed against a woman on this site. I am glad that @milan has in some way withdrawn and apologised for his comments. @[email protected] seems like someone who is more committed to being unpleasant.

I hope we can all learn that insulting comments about people on this site–their bodies, their visibility, their health, their sexuality, are not acceptable.

@paralithode milan's stuff seems more fauxpology "yeah I slipped up but I meant everything I said" nonsense than anything I'd accept were I the target of the harassment...

@sabrecat yes, I don't want to imply that it's my place to accept his 'apology' or consider it one... :/ I don't really have experience speaking at all in this kind of situation.

my wording was not very precise or elegant. In some way I (naively?) hope that by highlighting any attempt at reconciliation I might encourage him to I feel reflect on the negative impact of his initial words. I'm very uncomfortable 'naming names' at all to be honest, I don't know if it's good or bad....
