We used to let our dogs breed every couple of years (sometimes despite our best efforts, they bred anyway).

I loved coming home to a pile of puppies once their eyes were open. Before that, they just kind of laid around like this. Still #cute, just not too active.

For one litter, we had 7 puppies and were at the time renting in a house with polished wood floors.
I'd walk up the back stairs, and could hear the pitter patter of 28 little paws rushing towards the door. Once inside, I couldn't move as they'd mob my feet.
